How do I hook up a modem without a computer?

My xbox is very far away from my router, so i cant use that.

In my room, i have a cable phone line, my ISP = comcast

If I buy a cable modem and just plug it in to the wall via cable and phone, then plug it in to my xbox, will it work?

yes, just because its not connected to a computer doesnt mean that it wont work. but you gota make sure you dont have 2 phone lines or cable lines. it has to be on the same line the internet is on

All you need is a Wireless-G Range Expander like this one from Linksys.

Don't put in a second cable modem because you will need a second account with comcast to use it.

Ideally you could run a cat 6 cable to your pc.
