Have bt broadband home hub, how do i pick it up on laptop, have a wirless rooter already and all that.

Answer:
Getting a technician is not worth your money.

1. If you haven't done so already, install the modem settings into your computer. Make sure the computer is able to successfully connect to the internet even without the router.

(Don't bother if your computer is a Mac)

2. Install the router. Make sure it recognizes the IP address of the modem. To do this, follow the EXACT steps given to you by your router manufacturer. They're usually very clear and easy to follow.

(If you have a Macbook, don't bother with this either.)

NOTE: you'll be required to establish a wired connection using the router (the router being an intermediate between your modem and your computer).

Once that is successfully done, then you can proceed to going wireless.

I hope this helps! =)
