Ok i have a Cable modem (Motorola SBV5121) i have a ethernet connection port in it and a USB port in it. I want to switch to USB Connection so i can use the ethernet for my xbox 360. i put in the disc that helps me install the USB port driver but it wont work but if i somehow do get it to work… can i use my ethernet connection on my XBOX 360 and a USB connection on my PC at the same time? Also what does it mean if it says Xbox live is currently unavailible to sign people on? is that me or is it microsoft?

Answer:
You need to buy a router to be able to split the connection between the computer and the xbox. plug the ethernet cord into the router, then you will have 4 cords from the router for whatever you want. You can get them for like 10 bucks at Best Buy. Also, it was probably your connection but xbox live has been acting up since Christmas.
