In my student union there is supposedly wifi set up, however once I'm connected to the network I only have local acces, I don't seem to be able to connect to the internet. I pick up a signal from another network when I'm there and can connect to the net fine on that.Any ideas why I cant get on the internet? Is it me, my laptop or their router?

P.S. In the halls where I stay my connection is a LAN and I have no static IP address, dunno if thats anything to do with it. I'm running Vista too.

Answer:
