I'm based in Manila. :)

I'm on PLDT myDSL.

I bought a router and hooked it up with the black box PLDT set up for me when they installed my broadband connection. :) Wifi works fine! Ang layo ng reach ng signal. :)

I'm using D-Link. It's cheaper than the Linksys brand, but not considerably. I suggest you purchase Linksys. :) there's not much of a difference in price, and I've heard that Linksys is better.

and no, your broadband provider wouldn't charge you extra for connecting the router. :) they wouldn't know, and I think they wouldn't mind.

Answer:
Yes, its possible. You can purchase a DLink or Linksys wireless router. Connect the DSL modem directly to the router. You will also have to configured the router to be able to login to the DSL carrier.

After you have done the configuration its best to reboot the devices in this order.

DSL modem, router and PC/laptop

Good Luck!
