ive connected my desktop internet with a router so i cand get it on my laptop and ive done that, now how do connect the printer to the laptop wireless

Answer:
If the printer has Wireless compatibility, then this should be no problem, but I doubt that. If the printer is connected to the network (by cable), then you can automaticly find it by going to Config Panel -> Printers and choose add new printer. This will start a wizard where you can choose either a USB printer or a network printer.

Answer:
you have to get a wireless printer hub from newegg, or tiger direct . com. When you buy it, it comes with instructions. good luck

Answer:
Make sure your printer is on, then search for a signal coming from the printer, thn double click it.

Answer:
You'll need a magic box called a Print Server which plugs into the printer and the router. There's also Wireless Print Servers so you can print direct to a printer, wirelessly.

Answer:
you have to set up a file and printer sharing network. Just go into control panel, find the NETWORK setup….go ahead and set that up…enable file and printer sharing. Go to the other computer…set up the network using the same name.

Now go back to the computer the printer is attached to.

Go to the control panel, select printers..find your default printer, right click on the printer..go to SHARING and say YES to sharing the printer on the network.

Now go to your notebook computer…type a test file…then when you are about to print, select printer..and then find your shared network printer in the drop down list and select that one. you will be ready to go.

You have to remember that in this type of setup…since your printer is physically attached to a computer….the computer that the printer is physically attached to will have to be turned on!!!!

(Note: I am assuming that the Printer is currently attached to the Desktop unit, and that it is not a new fangled wireless printer, or a network printer. I have seen these Wireless Printer servers in computer stores…I am not sure how good they are. I guess you plug your printer into this device and then plug the device into your router…something like that anyway….but if you don't have a wireless print server…my method of setting up a network and sharing the printer will work)

Answer:
you have to setup your printer for sharing. right click on the printer that you want to use on the pc that the computer is connected to and goto the sharing tab in windows xp. In windows vista goto printer sharing on pc with the printer connected and on. on the laptop click on network connect to the computer. a username and password must be use to connect to another computer on a network. enter that information and you should see the printer that is shared click on it and it will say that you want to connect to a printer something like that. then you are done print test page to make sure and you are all set.

Answer:
If I understand the question, you have Internet access thru a wireless router. But, unless you have a network printer — that is, the printer has its own onboard print server and connects to the router with either a network or USB cable, this has nothing to do with connecting your laptop to the printer.

If it IS a network printer, just install the software for it on the laptop. If not, install the software on the laptop and, when the installation software tells you to, connect the LT to the printer using a USB cable (the printer DOES accept USB, yes? The input isn't just parallel?)

Answer:
OKay, wireless printing from your home network. First of all, there are many different ways to do this. So lets keep it easy and fast. Is your router near your printer? If so, plug in the firewire, your done. Open your share printer / files set to share with your network, only.

No keep in mind you can only connect to one device at a time so you need to set it up to start manually only, in fact for good measure always setup programs to start manually and you will have far less problems. Anyway, Windows already has programs to run your network but if you load the USB / print server with their software then use it, either way, remember one printer and one laptop at a time, period, last but not least keep n most companies call their system wireless but in fact they are connected to your router, and you wirelessly transmit to your other devices using the USB / or non USB server …. but the fact remains it is connected to your router via firewire or usb cable.
