a friend of mine told me that having multiple antispyware programs (only one with real time protection) can create trojans, how i have no clue but that's what he stated.

my personal was infested with a variety of trojans, viruses and spyware (over 200) i thought i had good protection with norton 360 but it didn't find anything?
friends finally advised me to try other stuff on the web for nothing like avira superantispyware and a squared free, adaware as well.

It is not in my add / remove programs list and spybot / AVG or spysweeper has not picked it up but my browser always blocks any web site and comes up with add for pctotaldefender … i searched personal and found pcdefenderexe file and deleted but still have problem

Answer: Completely not, that would help greatly.
You just need a firewall, virus scanner, spyware/malware scanner that’ll be SECURE ENOUGH to fend his intrusion attempts.
That doesn't mean he doesn't already have your passwords, important files, personal configuration, etc.

my parents have put this filter thingy on my comp. it requires a password before entering any sites it thinks are “dodgey” such as myspace etc.
how do i bypass it? like without being noticed?

Every time I update the virus database, the program tells me that a reboot is required. After I reboot, and it keeps on saying that I need to restart my computer. Anyone else with this problem / knows how to repair it? I didn't find anything useful on the AVG forum.

When I was looking around the configuration part of my computer it asked if I wanted to turn the firewall on. Which I did. The explaination of what a firewall is was what I thought an anti-virus is.
